Madi Bacon Endowment Fund for Music Education Scholarships
The Board of Directors of
the San Francisco Boys Chorus is delighted to announce the Madi
Bacon Endowment Fund for Music Education Scholarships, a new,
prestigious, annual award for choristers. The award will go
toward tuition, or musical education for choristers who have
demonstrated the spirit and promise of the San Francisco Boys
Chorus. The award is the inspiration of former chorister, Peter
Libby M.D. who wanted to honor Madi Bacon who founded the Chorus
in 1948. In Dr. Libby's words, the endowment fund honors her
courage, her quest for excellence, her élan, and her joyful
approach to learning and music making.
