The Handbell Program
The Handbell Program is open to all choristers and alumni who can sight-read rhythm. Rehearsals are directed by Dave Knight. The Handbells perform independently and in the SFBC choral concerts. Handbells meet once a week.
Beginners
This group has been designed to help students develop their music reading skills with hand bells and hand chimes through the exploration of different bell techniques and the opportunity to experience playing different bell sizes. The objective is for those interested to move up to the advanced performing group when spots become available. Dependant on size, there may be opportunities for the beginners group to perform.
Advanced Performing Group
The Handbells perform as an independent, stand alone group and appear in the SFBC’s Winter and Spring Choral Concerts.
